High performance work system and intrapreneurial behavior: the role of relational psychological contract, self-efficacy and boundaryless career orientation

Purpose. The current study investigates the impact of high-performance work system (HPWS) on intrapreneurial behavior (IPB) with mediating effects self-efficacy and relational psychological contract. In addition, boundaryless career orientation is expected to moderate relationship between HPWS IPB. Design. Employees were asked indicate extent which they understood experienced each HR practice within their firms. final list consists 13 practices detailed in Appendix 1. Employee Intrapreneurship Scale (EIS) eight items, measuring two dimensions IPB, namely strategic renewal venture behavior. Quantitative research design was applied data collected from 283 employees using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Findings. results confirmed direct IPB as well indirect impacts both contract self-efficacy. Mobility Preference moderated above while Boundaryless Mindset did not. Theoretical implications. This confirms mechanisms through influences Practical Building a long-term trust-based firm vital fostering Value results. explores role general mediators link it introduces moderator HPWS-IPB linkage.
